Terms of use
Updated 21 October 2026.
These cover Connect Garden, made by The Next Beacon. Playing it means you are fine with them. They are deliberately short. Nothing here takes away the consumer rights you have where you live.
What you get
You can install and play Connect Garden on devices you own. You may not resell it, rent it, hand out copies or pass its pictures off as your own. The game, its code, its art and its name stay ours. Buying something in the game buys you access to that content, not the game itself.
What you may not do
- Take the game apart to rebuild it, unless your local law allows it regardless of what we write here.
- Patch it or use tools to give yourself paid content or coins.
- Attack, flood or try to break into the servers the game talks to.
Purchases
The game is free to play: every mode and every level can be played without paying. Optional purchases are extra tile packs, making tile packs from your own photos, removing ads, and the Garden Pass, which includes all three. They are one-time purchases; nothing renews.
Coins are earned by playing and buy helpers inside the game. They have no money value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or paid out.
Apple or Google take the payment, not us. The price their store shows you at the time is the price, taxes included. Purchases belong to the store account that made them, so reinstalling or moving to a new phone on the same account gets them back with Settings → Restore purchases.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment, under its rules; we cannot issue them ourselves. If a store says no and you think the game is at fault, write to us anyway. None of this touches any legal right to a refund you have where you live.
Ads
The free game shows a few ads between boards, never in the first levels and at most once every ten minutes. Some ads are optional and give a small reward when you choose to watch them. Buying "No ads" or the Garden Pass removes the ads that appear by themselves.
Your photos and your garden
Photo packs are made and kept on your phone and are never uploaded. You are responsible for having the right to use the photos you choose. Your progress is saved on your phone; with cloud backup switched on, a copy is kept under your garden code so you can restore it on a new phone. Keep the code private: anyone with it can restore your garden.
Updates
The game works offline. We will keep improving it, adjust its balance and add new things. If an update would ever take away content you paid for, we will tell you first.
Liability
The game comes as it is. We cannot promise it is free of bugs or runs on every phone ever made. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses from using it, and the most we can owe you is what you paid. Some countries do not allow this; if yours does not, it does not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for death, injury or fraud.
Ending it
You end it by deleting the game. We may end it for someone who seriously or repeatedly breaks the rules above, such as getting around payment or attacking the servers.
Which law
Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of your own country and can bring a case there.
